Background: Generally, end users will connect to their Virtual Desktop via the Citrix Workspace app. Ensure you have the latest version of the Long Term Service Release, as this is the most stable version of the app that is supported by CloudConnect.
Search for the most recent version of Citrix Workspace for Mac.
Note: The application on the Apple Store appears to be out of date as of the writing of this article.
Navigate to the webpage download for the most recent Citrix Workspace app on citrix.com
Download the application, and install.
Proceed through the installation wizard.
Opt not to provide an account when prompted. You can connect to your Virtual Desktop without an external workspace account.
Once the application is successfully installed, navigate to https://citrix.cloudconnect.net/.
NOTE: If this is your first time connecting, you might be prompted to link your application to the web access portal. Simply click "Detect Receiver" to link your application.
Log in with your credentials, and choose the VM you're trying to access.
Your Citrix desktop should then launch.
Congratulations, you're done!
Applies to: End users and resellers looking to access their virtual machines through Citrix.
Additional Notes: Utilizing the CloudConnect platform does not require Citrix. VPN tunnels can be set up from on-premise networks to cloud servers, a CloudConnect partner can host their own RDS gateway portal, etc. However, Citrix is the industry leader in desktop virtualization: any virtual machine running Citrix will have vastly superior end-user performance comparatively to an RDS connection.
