Edit Memory Configuration

Last Updated:

Background: Should you or a client desire to add additional memory resources to your virtual machine, this can be done easily through vCloud Director. NOTE: The virtual machine must be powered off in order to change compute hardware configurations.

Process:

In order to make any hardware configuration changes (except storage), you must first power off the virtual machine. The safest way to go about this is by selecting the option to "Shut Down Guest OS"

Click on the "Details" button for the virtual machine you'd like to make CPU configuration changes to.

Navigate to the "Hardware" tab.

Edit the Memory resources to the required specifications.

Click "Save" to commit the changes to the Virtual Machine.

Lastly, be sure to Power On the virtual machine.
